4th of July 009.jpgedit

to all you American types! We arrived back home from Dar (pics to come) and except for me getting a nasty stomach bug we had a good time and got lots done. I almost forgot it was the 4th of July (easy to do without ads, store decor, and social cues we are used to at home) but luckily we did remember decided we had to do something fun to mark the day. That and I do not think we could call ourselves real Americans unless we grilled up something right? We planned to celebrate the patriots throwing off British tyranny with our British team mates šŸ™‚ but alas poor Paula was also sick so last minute planned a BBQ of hot dogs with another American family we know. Both the girls sported American garb (which necessitated pics) and we enjoyed a cool day. But on days like this we desperately miss friends and family and all things about a Chitown summer. Happy 4th to you all!!!

Darling pics. The girls would have loved the golf cart parade in the HIghlands. I also love Anni's braids. How darling! I see little girl at Lifetime everyday when I do my swim class, and it is so sad thinking they are Anni's or Evy's age, that is the swimsuit I got Anni, etc. Miss you all so much, but love these pics.
