Nuru

One of my running buddies back at training Meghan is headed back to Africa (YEAH!) and she is going to be working with an organization called Nuru; meaning light in Kiswahili. They just launched there new website. It is only a small thing but you can help the global community in the fight against world poverty by checking out more about the organization. Nuru is exciting because it is holistic and sustainable development. It is a dozen NGOs and thousands of grassroots volunteers working alongside the poor to break the cycle of extreme poverty.
