I remember the wise & truth telling Sandra Van Opstal sharing that if you say you care about immigrants & refugees but you look at your calendar or your phone log and you are not spending time actually building friendships with real people you are kidding yourself.
I’m so grateful for friendships that expand my view of the world. I love being able to freely speak about faith, politics, culture, parenting, health, & life. You don’t have to know everything (because spoiler alert you never will) or do it perfectly. You just have to be genuinely curious, listen, share, drink tea, eat, & allow yourself to be blessed.
