untitled-20

a birthday convo in the car yesterday:
Anni: Mama, how old are you going be?
Me:  (after counting, seriously I ALWAYS forget my age and Jason puts up with me (a saint I tell you) I am gonna be 33!
Anni: WOW! That is so old!
Evy: Yeah, you old Mama!
Anni: Mama, what kind of Birthday do you want?
Me: What do you mean?
Anni: Umm, like do you want nails or Barbie or rock star?
Me: Oh you mean a theme?
Evy: Yeah and me have dudu party! (always adding her opinion)
Me: Hmmm, I guess I want a nails, fancy coffee, Thai food party!!
(whispering that still managed to be full volume for Miss Evy.  They discussed using their allowance money to buy me a gift and seemed to finally settle on nail polish but the conversation abruptly ended when Anni screamed: Mama!! Gross Evy threw a booger on me!! )

Anni made me an adorable card that said ‘Happy Buthday Mama,’ Evy gave me kisses and sang off key, they both continued their whiny and bickering ways even though they said “we promise to not fight,” many friends and family near and far wished me a Happy Bday, and Jason surprised me with the news that a new camera lens I had planned saving for all year is on its way to our house (Yes, I cried because my husband is that good).
My life is full and my birthday is a grand day to bask in it,
