I’m back! Two weeks off and I am genuinely, deeply refreshed and cannot stop smiling (plus you can’t tell me nothin’ when I am tan) the kind of refreshed where you tear up in gratitude.

Kauai was a dream. I know, I know everyone says their vacation was the best ever, but truly: Kauai is not overrated. We renewed our vows on Shipwreck Beach with the kids there to celebrate with us, which was every bit as magical as it sounds.

We wrote vows for them and they each wrote something for us- I was a bawling MESS (the above picture was luckily before i was a crying mess).  We had epic adventures together including redeeming the helicopter ride and seeing the created beauty of the island.

Then we sent the kids home and got a few days to just be us with: no schedules, no food to make, no drop offs and pick up for kid’s sports, truly nothing but sand, sun, time and each other.

And yes (because it’s real life) the kids still found a way to bicker in a beautiful new (much more expensive) location. #reallife. Some things don’t change no matter what island you’re on, and honestly? I wouldn’t trade it. It was still a dream, bickering and all.

Now I’m home, grateful with a full heart, and maybe unexpectedly and more fired up than ever to get back to work with you. I know my work is a gift because I am 100% excited to get back at it!! Check out my Insta Stories here. More images and videos here.
