There’s something about fall that feels like a fresh start. Maybe it’s the back-to-school energy. It also might be because I am still riding high after returning from a retreat with my business mentor.

Either way, it’s the perfect time to ask yourself:
What do I want to be able to say I accomplished by the end of this year? What goals are aligned to me and my life?

Big goals are exciting — but here’s the truth: no one builds them alone.
It took me too long in entrepreneurship to learn this- I was DIYing and building scrappy for years (no shame in that game as it served me until it didn’t- if you know you need to step up into a new season you need mentorship/coaching) but once I really understood the impact of mentorship it changed the game for me!
Every time I’ve grown my business or shifted in huge ways that scared me, I’ve had someone in my corner. A mentor. A coach. A trusted friend who could see my potential on the days I couldn’t.
Mentorship isn’t about someone giving you some magic formula (because spoiler alert: there is not one). It’s about perspective, accountability, and someone who will ask the hard questions when you’re tempted to play small.
So as you map out your fall goals, I want you to do two things:
Write down one thing you’re ready to achieve by December 31st.
Decide who’s going to walk alongside you while you do it. Reach out TODAY and make a date to connect!
You don’t have to do this season alone: in business or in life.

Questions to Ask Yourself if You’re Ready to Invest in Mentorship
Do I know what I want but keep stalling on taking action?
Sometimes it’s not about what to do, but having someone hold you accountable to actually do it.

Am I repeating the same patterns without different results?

Do I feel like I’m working hard, but not seeing the growth I want?
Effort without strategy can keep you stuck.

Have I gone as far as I can on my own knowledge and perspective?
The right mentor brings fresh eyes and proven experience you can’t get from Googling.

Am I willing to be coached even if it means getting uncomfortable?
Growth often comes from the conversations you don’t want to have. The best coaches IMO will ask hard questions and challenge you.

Would I benefit from someone believing in me when I don’t?
Confidence grows faster when someone else reminds you what’s possible. Sometimes we all need someone else cheering us on and offering meaningful encouragement!

If you answered YES: Take the time to find a mentor that aligns with your goals!
P.S. If one of your goals includes showing up more confidently in your brand, I’d love to talk about how a Brand Storytelling Session can help you get there and give you the visuals to match your vision.
Rebrand Retreat take aways:
I’m still smiling from my time in South Dakota at the Rebrand Retreat with my mentor Maddie Peschong
Learning and being challenged well also having so much encouragement from like-minded women building photography businesses they love was such a gift – my face hurt from smiling and laughing & I was reminded that stepping into more confidence is possible – and definitely more probable when you are doing it alongside other amazing and like-minded people.
