I had the absolute blessing of being invited to share on the Hairitage Podcast recently to celebrate Black History Month. Tamekia Swint- an inspiring leader I know and respect so much asked me to share my perspective on being a transracial adoptive mother. I have learned so much from Tamekia and the leaders of Styles4Kidz about loving my Black daughter well. It is about SO MUCH MORE THAN HAIRCARE. This podcast is one ways I continue to learn with this community.

This podcast dives into the world of adoption, foster care, and multicultural families, offering a wealth of educational content that will stir your emotions and inspire you.

Podcast description: Tamekia Swint speaks with transracial adoptive mom Roxanne Engstrom and Lydia Mercer, an advocate for others in the racial (Un)Learning space, about hair discrimination, racism, and advocacy.

Black hairstyling and its caring methods protect the culture, traditions, and hair protective rights of every Black person who would wear them. – Tamekia Swint
