Some things I’ve learned in life & business.
if you want to get great at some thing, you have to be brave enough to just start and be mediocre.
Want to be an entrepreneur? Messy action wins. No one has it all figured out. Just begin & be humble enough to admit what you need to learn. Growth & grit is in the work you are avoiding.
Want a more intimate & connected marriage? Show up and say and listen to hard things.Go to therapy- even on the days it reveals yucky things about you. Lean in, wholeness & healing take time & repeatedly showing up.
Struggling in parenting? (same!) Admit what & where you lack and need healing yourself. Gather resources & be vulnerable in safe community. Pray for wisdom.
Want to improve your health?
Don’t focus on all you can’t do. Modify and just begin to build disciplined habits.
We all want the huge transformation or amazing family & marriage or thriving business but nothing worth having is easy or all an upward trajectory. Those things are only born of God’s grace & the decision to not skip the suck, be mediocre at some thing consistently so that you can build something extraordinary.
