Stealthy kindness is a whole vibe!! One of our favorite days of Advent is Saint Nicholas Day!! It made me so happy this year to get messages from friends saying they did this tradition with their kids too. Yay for sharing parenting ideas.
We remind each other of St. Nick’s history: Obeying Jesus’ words to “sell what you own and give the money to the poor,” Nicholas used his whole inheritance to assist the needy, the sick, and the suffering. He dedicated his life to serving God and was made a Bishop as a young man. Nicholas became known throughout the land for his generosity to those in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.
Early this morning our kids discovered $5 & candy gold coins in their shoes & we are excited to see what they do to bless others in his memory. We read a book about the spirit of St. Nick and lit our advent candles tonight & asked God to help us truly see others & be a blessing.
