Some reflections on lessons learned in 2018: love is never wasted & loving is a long game, that which was meant for our destruction can actually invite us to let go & be more of who we were created to be, sickness is not weakness, asking for & receiving help is humbling & freeing, dig into community because people are not perfect (& surprise neither are we) but the mess is worth it for it allows the days of celebration to be richer & the days of struggle to be shared, encourage others & offer reckless love with no expectations, God enables us to thrive more & more in the darkest places when we learn to trust, the places of heartbreak in the world are invitations to be more present & listen. Cheers to 2019: may we find ourselves always learning & loving.
