Advent: Happy Saint Nicholas Day!

 Happy Saint Nicholas Day!! 

One of our favorite days of Advent- Saint Nicholas Day!! Obeying Jesus’ words to “sell what you own and give the money to the poor,” Nicholas used his whole inheritance to assist the needy, the sick, and the suffering. He dedicated his life to serving God and was made a Bishop as a young man. Nicholas became known throughout the land for his generosity to those in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.

Early this morning our kids discovered $5 & candy gold coins in their shoes & we are excited to see what they do to bless others in his memory! We read a book about the spirit of St. Nick and lit our advent candles tonight & asked God to help us truly see others & be a blessing.
