We all attended the funeral together. Thanks to everyone who prayed. So many people from his life here gathered and said goodbye and Tim gave an amazing tribute to his father during which he managed to hold it together while I sobbed and tried to keep Evy from ripping and ravaging the pew hymnals. The officianant spoke of the New Heaven and Earth. He spoke about how amazingly giving Tim’s father was but that he is with God not because he was a good person but because he has a Good Savior. True. We watched videos and saw pictures of his life. It was a privilege and an honor to be there for our friends. Watching others deal with loss and grief and giving of themselves so generously is amazing, inspiring, and spurs me on. I cannot begin to describe how grateful we are that God saw fit to bring us here, allow us to stay longer and to be a part of this all. We have been able to serve our friends in small ways and we pray this is a blessing to them as well.

I managed to borrow some dresses from Chloe to dress my scalawags properly for the occasion and they played and acted silly and were kids and the normalcy was just right.

Today both our families went to the beach again for more surfing and family good time. Breathing it all in. More soon…
