another Friday, another harusi

Anni was so excited to go as she always is for wedding because they always mean getting to wear a little make-up and she gets to pick from the plethora of dress up bling she has amounted. Really anything goes and that suits Miss Anni just right. But after we arrived and we were escorted in to the tiny room packed full of the bride and tons of busyness Anni started to cry and did not stop. I realized that she was having culture shock at the readjustment to life here. She forgot how loud, hot, and different it is. I can forget that too. So Anni and I spent some time outside just talking and then after a half hour she was ready to party! Good reminder to always be praying for my kids and helping them (and us) adjust. It also helped that she made some fast friends that appreciated her flare for rock climbing, dancing, and chicken chasing. Yep, another Friday, another harusi.….
